Job Summary: 

The Employee Benefits Specialist will partner with the HR Team to assist with supporting the review of benefit elections, deductions, and carrier reporting of our benefit enrollment process. This role will assist with day-to-day administration of our benefit programs and support our employees with benefit related questions. This position will play a key role in assisting with coordination of daily benefits processing and enrollments, including COBRA, terminations, and changes.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Support with enrollment of employee benefit elections ensuring timeliness and SLAs of daily benefits processing are met
  • Support of responding to employee benefit related questions, testing auditing elections in ADP, engaging in employee outreach and follow-up, and other related workstreams
  • Work with vendors and employees to assist with resolution of benefit claims issues and other inquiries
  • Work with employees and managers to resolve issues and questions related to benefit policies
  • Support 401(k) plan and other benefit plan compliance projects
  • Assist in auditing and in-depth review of employee and benefit plan deductions data against carrier enrollment and billing reports
  • Assist with assigning Employee Trainings as new hires and ongoing
  • Work on other special projects as needed

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - must be approachable and comfortable interacting with all levels of our employee population and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive situations and protected information
  • Exceptional customer service skills, ability to present a welcoming demeanor, exercise appropriate discretion, and apply an assertive yet tactful approach in difficult situations
