VP, Federal Business Development

This role is responsible for driving Federal market business development, new client acquisition, and sales pipeline growth in Revature’s Federal Market Unit.  The successful candidate will be particularly adept at prospecting and driving new business opportunities with government consulting system integrators and end users in the Federal sector. 

We are looking for someone who has been continuously active in the Federal IT community for the last 10+ years, and has an established network of relationships within the Federal IT and government consulting community.

Local candidates to the DC metro area are strongly preferred.  

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years demonstrated success in full lifecycle Public Sector business development
  • Extensive experience working with government consulting organizations for both pre-award and post award activities supporting their end customers and extensive knowledge of their go-to-market strategy
  • Demonstrated success selling complex Technology Solutions from initial sales discussions through implementation design and post-award standup. 
  • Successful track record of leading Government Contract Pursuits and the Capture Management process including pre-RFP business development, gap analysis, pricing, and teaming relationships through RFP response and program implementation upon award.   
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Extensive understanding of the Government Procurement lifecycle
  • Ability to work closely with other support functions in a matrixed environment (E.g.  Marketing, BD, Channel Partnerships, Delivery, and Technology)

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Solid working understanding of the challenges facing Government HR and creating Transformation Solutions that address Talent Retention, Talent Sustainability and Talent Attraction issues along with process efficiency. 
  • Knowledge of Government System Integrator Human Capital as a Service solutions
  • Knowledge of Federal OPM hiring processes
  • Working understanding of OPM’s Direct Hiring Authority and other expedited hiring authorization levers
  • Knowledge of Government Workforce Transformation Solutions
